Beautiful, Shiny,
Soft, Manageable,
Healthy Hair
This is what we are
thinking when we buy
our Hair Care
products.
Unfortunately, we are
often not getting the
products that will do
this for us.
Products that are used
as Industrial Cleaners
are also commonly
found in our Shampoos
and Conditioners.
Sodium laurel sulphur
(SLS) is a common
chemical lathering
agent which is claimed
to be a natural
coconut product.
Although it may start
out as a natural
product by the time
all the chemical
processes are done
with other synthetic
ingredients it is a
totally different
compound with no
natural value. See the
full list of brand
names on
Beauty
It is quite often the
second item named in
the ingredients list.
Sodium laureth
sulphate, sodium cetyl
sulphate and ammonium
laurel sulphate are
also found in
shampoos, together
with cresol,
formaldehyde, glycols,
nitrates/nitrosamines.
For the technical side
of things go to:
Personal Health Care
Facts.
Amazingly enough,
there are still some
companies that pooh,
pooh the concerns of
these products and put
the concerns off to a
little bit of
contamination back in
the good old days and
that the "new and
improved" procedures,
cares and concerns of
theirs, about you,
have dealt with any of
the so called dangers.
Not according to the
Environmental
Working Group (EWG) though.

You be the Judge:
You can pay somebody
else to contaminate
your body by
absorption, kill your
hair through
suffocation of scalp
buildup or better
still after time has
gone by, just simply
losing your hair.
Or, you can look
after your hair
yourself!
Natural product
shampoos made from
corn and sugars,
preferable fragrance
free are available
from Health Food
Stores and some
Pharmacies, or make it
yourself.
Use a hair brush made
with natural bristles,
it maintains the
stimulation of natural
oils in your hair
rather then absorbing
them from the hair
like synthetic brushes
do.
Hair dryers are tough
on hair so if you need
them for styles do a
periodic oil
treatment.
Wash hair immediately
after swimming in
chlorinated water.
Eat nutritious food
such as eggs, soy,
legumes, fish, dark
leafy greens with lots
of water. Fish oil
and flax seed oil
provide nutrients and
moisture to the hair.
Flax seed oil can be
used as a salad oil.
Use one Vitamin-B
Complex with ratios of
50mg and 100mg taken
at night. (Your body
repairs itself at
night.)
